I’m a mom to six, Grammie to four, and I photograph families here in Reno and the stunning landscapes of Northern Nevada. I’ve spent over 20 years working with kids and parents, and my sessions are all about connection, curiosity, and giving your family room to just be yourselves. I’ve been the parent worried about behavior. I’ve been the kid with ants in her pants. I know that magic doesn’t come from control—it comes from trust, play, and the photographer's intuition.

One mom I worked with loved the idea of newborn photos but didn’t want to be in them. She felt too “not ready.” I gently encouraged her to try a few, promising she could review them privately. During the session, I used soft posing and thoughtful angles. I captured her baby nuzzling into her neck, she and her husband enjoying the baby, and the most beautiful capture -when her newborn’s eyes locked with hers. Later, I brought the gallery to her personally. She only removed a few and told me how relieved she was that she agreed to have her photos taken.

I believe every mother deserves to just be—without pressure or performance. Just seen, and beautifully remembered.
